SAM Selected as Staffing Solution for Texas Academy of Physician Assistants (TAPA)
Strategic Association Management (SAM) has been selected as the association management company and staffing solution for the Texas Academy of Physician Assistants (TAPA), which represents over 2,500 physician assistants (PAs) and students across Texas.
Since its founding in 1975, TAPA has pursued its mission to promote and advance the PA profession in Texas through advocacy, professional development and member engagement. TAPA aims to create a network of PAs who are healthcare leaders, making a lasting impact on health and wellness.
"We're proud to support TAPA in its efforts to elevate the role of PAs in Texas healthcare," said Megan Woodburn, CAE, SAM Founder and co-CEO. "With a strong foundation and engaged leadership, the organization is well-positioned for continued growth, and we're honored to be part of that next chapter."
SAM will deliver a comprehensive range of services, including executive, board and governance, financial management, communications, and meetings and events support. SAM Account Executive Lindsey Jost, CAE, will serve as Executive Director, leading the internal staff team and providing strategic and operational support to the volunteer board.
"We are thrilled to welcome Lindsey and the entire Strategic Association Management team as our association management partner," said TAPA Past President Sonali Weerasinghe, MPH, MPAS, PA-C. "The team hit the ground running in June, marking an exciting new chapter for our organization. SAM's proven expertise, strategic insight and commitment to excellence will be invaluable as TAPA continues to grow and serve our members."
